Video: RX-301 Inhibits Leukocyte Rolling, the First and Essential Step in the Inflammatory Cascade

RX-301 is an inhibitor of L-selectin – GAG interaction that has been discovered with the SMIG platform. In the video shown below, human T-Lymphocytes (bright mobile dots) are passed over static human endothelial cells (cobblestone-like background). At high cell velocity, which reproduces the “high sheer force” acting on venous blood, individual T-Lymphocytes are induced to adhere intermittently to the endothelial cells (leukocyte “rolling”). RX-301 significantly reduces leukocyte rolling compared to Control sample.
